Just Like with Legacy Building, You’re ALWAYS Building a Brand
whether you like it or know it, or not. HOW and WHAT you’re building depends on how aware you are that you’re building one.
Are you building a brand by design, or default? With intention and integrity, or through neglect and ignorance? You’re making a name for yourself and your family for generations to come. Some of us are defaulting into generational legacies that are laden with financial, relational and spiritual curses and we don’t even know this is perpetuating a legacy by default.
The Name Game
It starts with your name.
What your name means to yourself is a clear indicator or what it means to everyone else, including your clients.
Brand = Name
A brand is a name that reminds you of a story
Your name already reminds people of a story. Just like legacy, you;re already building a brand. You’re just either doing it with intention or neglect - by default or design.
How do you make your name mean something more, to other people?
You make your name mean more to you first ; becoming hyper intentional with your offer builds value, through character and conduct.
Where talent is our God- given gift and ability to do something that people value and need, character is what allows people to trust you to help them with it over the next guy.
So here’s the big question for you;
what do people say about you when they're not around you?
This is especially paramount for my clients and my community and any community focused on biblical business building, where integrity is the breath of life of your business and your brand - not for sales sake, but for God’s, in His image and for His glory.
This is the grit a God governed business owner and brand must have in order to hone a legacy from their brand.
Ask yourself these 3 questions
to start understanding the brand you currently have - either by design or default- and how to start elevating it to a million dollar brand…
What do people say about you when they’re not around you?
What do you say about yourself when you’re not paying attention to your repetitive thoughts?
What story do you tell about yourself most often?
Your Brand is your Name. Your Name is Your Word and Your Word is Your Bond.
Deliver on Your Promises
Numbers 30:2
If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.
When someone invests in you by buying into your brand in some way, what they get in value must be greater than the amount of money they spent to invest in it, aka, you.
If it is, you just gained a client for life. If this it’s not, you just lost one.
Your word is your bond;
your contractual and covenantal agreement with your clientele. Trust has been long lost in business. brands have become empty vessels and it’s because the people running them are.
Don’t be that person. Don’t be that brand.
God’s assignment for you and your Business
must be at the nucleus of your brand in order for the DNA of your brand to build a legacy.
Do you currently have a brand, or think you do? And does that brand match the words coming out of your mouth? Is your brand your bond, or a business and legacy by default?
